NouVo Spa is introducing Reiki Energy Therapy and Reiki Training from Joan Shorter, Joan is Reiki Master.

Reiki therapy is a combination of all other alternative therapeutic methods. It applies little bit of homeopathy, naturopathy, aromatherapy, meditation, religious healing, and many such processes to relieve a person in distress.

But, it is the concept of transferring energy to bring equilibrium of forces to regain the balance is what makes this age-old Japanese therapy unique and immensely popular.

There are some basic effects of a Reiki therapy. They are a sense of intense relaxation, system detoxification, enhancement of the vibration or body frequency, increase in the vigor as a source of healing power, and exclusion on negative energy.

Despite Stephanie being away on a much-deserved vacation until February 28th, we are pleased to announce that you will still be able to have your artificial nails done. Our guest nail-technician Nicky will be available by booking on Sundays and Mondays. And, as always, Lyz and Yeng Hua will be available for your other esthetic needs.

The hairstyling team underwent a very successful colour refresher-course in January, and will now be undergoing a level-two colour-correction course on the 21st and 22nd of February. In addition, both Alison and Stephanie will be attending Ontario's premier beauty tradeshow and conference in Toronto from Feb 28th - March 1st, picking up new tricks and tools to help better serve you in both the hair and esthetics fields. To thank you for your business and to help offset the effect of the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), we’d like to offer you an increase in your current membership discount from 10% to 13%, effective October 1, 2010. This new discount applies to NouVo Spa Hair Salon, Aesthetic, and Nails services.

As an added bonus, we’d also like to extend this 13% discount on NouVo Spa Hair salon, Aesthetic, and Nail services to you, your friends and family who subscribe for new memberships for 2011. Memberships for 2011 will be available for sale November 1, 2010.
